Recyclable nanostructured catalytic systems in modern environmentally friendly organic synthesis.
Modern chemical synthesis makes heavy use of different types of catalytic systems: homogeneous, heterogeneous and nano-sized. The latter--nano-sized catalysts--have given rise in the 21st century to a rapidly developing area of research encompassing several prospects and opportunities for new technologies. Catalytic reactions ensure high regio- and stereoselectivity of chemical transformations,...
متن کاملA recyclable nanoparticle-supported rhodium catalyst for hydrogenation reactions.
Catalytic hydrogenation under mild conditions of olefins, unsaturated aldeydes and ketones, nitriles and nitroarenes was investigated, using a supported rhodium complex obtained by copolymerization of Rh(cod)(aaema) [cod: 1,5-cyclooctadiene, aaema-: deprotonated form of 2-(acetoacetoxy)ethyl methacrylate] with acrylamides. In particular, the hydrogenation reaction of halonitroarenes was carried...
متن کاملA silica-based magnetic platform decorated with mixed ligand gold nanoparticles: a recyclable catalyst for esterification reactions.
A novel and convenient synthetic strategy for the preparation of magnetically responsive silica nanospheres decorated with mixed ligand protected gold nanoparticles is described. Gold nanoparticles are attached to the silica surface via stable amide bond formation. The hierarchical nanospheres show promising results as reusable and efficient catalysts for esterification reactions and they can b...
متن کاملMagnetically recyclable hollow nanocomposite catalysts for heterogeneous reduction of nitroarenes and Suzuki reactions.
Highly active magnetically recyclable hollow nanocomposite catalysts with a permeable carbon surface have been prepared by a simple, economical and scalable process. The designed nanocomposite exhibited excellent catalytic activities in the selective reduction of nitroarenes and Suzuki cross-coupling reactions. The catalysts could be easily separated by a magnet, and recycled consecutively.
متن کاملRecyclable Mitsunobu reagents: catalytic Mitsunobu reactions with an iron catalyst and atmospheric oxygen.
Aerobic recycling: A catalytic amount of a hydrazine reagent is sufficient to promote Mitsunobu reactions in the presence of triphenylphosphine, an iron catalyst, and air. The active form of the catalyst, an azo species, can be readily generated by iron-catalyzed aerobic oxidation. MS = molecular sieves, Pc = phthalocyanine.
